Get to know us.

Stefan was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and after 11 New England autumns moved with his family 1,000 miles or so to Ames, Iowa under the horizon wide sunsets. He graduated as soon as he could from Iowa State University with a degree in Software Engineering. His passions are eclectic, with musical projects and photography as well as physical arts in strength sports. In 2022, he took a job at Google and moved 1,000 miles back to the east coast where he met his brightest love.

At home in a saddle, Elizabeth grew up racing and galloping through the cool and misty forest trails around North Carolina. Her passion for riding brought her up and down the eastern seaboard where she worked with prestigious dressage riders from New Jersey to Florida, riding and training for the Grand Prix. After that exciting and tumultuous adolescence, she returned to North Carolina and started her own equine training business and sought a higher education at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where she graduated with a degree in Biology and Neuroscience. Now, Elizabeth is continuing her academic journey by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics.

Elizabeth and Stefan met on Hinge, and their first date was under the myriad colors of the Lantern Festival in Cary. Their love has accompanied them to Los Cabos, Mexico, where they first said “I love you.” In Italy they decided to adopt the romance language and each called the other “mi amore” from then on. Along the Rhein River in Germany, at Schloss Arenfels, they decided to be together forevermore, with the 365 windows, 52 rooms, and 12 towers representing that they will love each other every day of every week of every month for all the years they will spend together.
